Thanks for the slideshow - SA is definitely next on my list, and it looks like despite the recommendations, our winter is a great time to be at Macchu Piccu.
I want to pick you brain about packing light. I am there Tuesday PM to Wednesday night - you around?
I'm definitely in town. I play soccer on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings but that only takes up a couple of hours. I'd be happy to give whatever tips I can about packing light. First recommendation: capilene (or other quick drying synthetic) clothes - that way you can wash them at night and they're dry by morning. I got a pair of underwear from REI that are made of a similar material and found them very useful.
Almost my entire wardrobe for the trip was from REI actually... :)

Noted. Going out at lunch today to find me a pair or two of them-there Capilene boxers. Maybe I will pick them up at REI on Wed. instead, along with:
Silk Bedsheet;
Poncho / Light Waterproof;
Money Belt Thingy;
Hope to catch you Wednesday.
